"A TRIBUTE TO MINER"

THERE'S SOMETHIN' ABOUT THAT BUCK! ...is what we used to say.
He took his 1rst Grand at 4yrs old and received his PGCH status at 6yrs old.
MINER being the biggest contribution to our herd. He was not known
for having that" Pretty Pygmy Type Head"  but structurally he was outstanding!
He didn't fill out till he was 3yrs old and when he did-WOW! He boasted a 22"  neck of solid
muscle, his gate was as fluid as water-lending to his beautiful tracking, his length of body and
"strength in topline"  was always noted  in the buck class line ups. His upright carriage and
animated expression is still being reproduced in our breeding program as we strive to make
improvements lending "his structure"  with georgious heads we have today.
We love MINER 's progeny, and solid sructure that can be seen in our  current champions ...
and through out our herd.

TO REMEMBER
MT as we call him...took his first GRAND at 2yrs old (top left) and finished
at 4yrs old pictured center...establishing "Little O' Farms  first PGCH ".
He was awesome... lending that sound rear end and fluid tracking,
topline and upright carriage and muscle to our breeding program.

The spring of 2007 we retrieved our buck back
1x Grand Champ Mysty Mountain a Little Mo' Magic
"Mo"  was the very first champion born on our farm and a huge contribution through out our
herd today. He was so poorly taken care of and in tears and dismay, I scooped him up for $50
thank god his paperwork was intact, and took him home. I knew I didn't have much time to get
progeny, his front shoulder was injured and irepairable. Still...I felt I wanted to get his
"Golden Genetics" ... any thing he could give me....I would be grateful for.

After owning Faith for a
year we decided to put her in the showring the spring of 2008.
She got to sit back the winter and gain weight and was one of a few does we had that
didn't have spring kids on her.
She took her first Grand in April and finished her PGCH the next 2 shows-
Establishing her as our first PGCH doe and WEST SUN PYGMIES first PGCH, WOW!!!
I couldn't be more thrilled and for Mo'Nelle and Mo' Nique my beautiful girls!
Through them I hope to aspire Mo's signature and Miners legacy...forever mo' .

In the spring of 2007 a friend called and asked  if we were
willing to trade some baby does for some "brood does" she was
parting with. I has happy to have mature does that "Mo"
could have...and genetic foundation stock "back" in my herd.
Faith gave me
Mo'Nelle and Mo'Nique in October that year
and I could'nt be more thrilled !!
